🖤 I have a lot of books full of pictures of antique samplers and have collected many vintage hand stitched items over the years.
I do love their aged delicate aesthetic beauty but more so it is the shadow of the original stitcher who intrigues me and fills me with curiosity. I especially love seeing the needlework of young women who may have not been blessed with the good fortune of having a comfortable life but who create such delicate expression with their hands on a sampler or even some mending that they leave a mark of their raw and natural creativity on this world.
So the SHE in my illustration refers to all those women.
In beautiful shades of pink and purple this print would be a wonderful gift for an avid sewer, embroiderer or gift for yourself!
Perfect to hang in a craft/sewing room.
Printed with archival pigment inks on beautifully velvety 312gsm Fine Art paper.
The paper measures 8" x 8" with an 1/2" white border all around (for ease of framing) so the image measures 7" x 7".
I sign and date each print in pencil on the back.
The listing is for an unframed print only.
It fits straight in a standard 8" x 8" frame or in a larger frame with a card mount. If you need any advice regarding this please feel free to ask me.

Each print is packaged flat with a backing board, inside a clear protective sleeve, and sent in a cardboard envelope to ensure the best protection.
