Free Fish Sampler Embroidery Pattern
To celebrate the launch of my very first Embroidery PDF Patterns now available in my shop , I thought it would be nice to create a special stitchy gift for my newsletter subscribers.
My first available embroidery patterns are inspired by my Pearl Dreams fabric collection which celebrates my lifelong love of mermaids. The magic of mer-life is a timeless fascination for so many people and I'll never forget how I felt reading Hans Christian Anderson's 'The Mermaid' as little girl and imagining myself as a merchild spending my days playing in an underwater palace with it’s coral walls and amber windows.
I know many of my newsletter subscribers are not embroiderers (yet) so I decided to make a very simple embroidery pattern that would be beginner friendly but also versatile enough to experiment with if you are more a little more 'thread' experienced.
Here’s a short video of me stitching up the fish sampler pattern.
The pattern utilises basic stitches like backstitch, satin stitch, long & short stitch and seed stitch and I have given colour suggestions to create the same version I have stitched however you can use whatever colours you prefer. I have framed it in an oval hoop but it could be used in so many different ways such as on a cushion, bag or anything you fancy!
My Fish Sampler embroidery pattern is available to my current newsletter subscribers and if you want to grab yours; fill out the form below.
I hope you have fun using it:)
